2. General information

This website is purely informational. It has no contact forms, no user accounts, and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising tools. The site itself does not set any cookies. The only personal data processed are the ones described below.

3. Server logs

Like any website, the web server automatically records technical data for each request: IP address, browser and operating system (user agent), date and time, and the page or file requested. These data are processed on the basis of my legitimate interest in running the site and keeping it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), are not used to identify visitors, and are kept for the time needed for technical management and security, normally no longer than 30 days.

4. Hosting

The site is hosted by Aruba S.p.A. (Via San Clemente 53, 24036 Ponte San Pietro (BG), Italy), which processes the server logs on my behalf as data processor under Art. 28 GDPR. The data are stored on servers located in the European Union.

5. Google Maps

The Contacts page can show a map provided by Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is not loaded automatically: nothing is sent to Google until you click “Show map”. When you do, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and may set cookies. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by clicking the button; you can withdraw it at any time by reloading the page, after which the map is no longer loaded. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For details see Google’s Privacy Policy.

6. Email and phone contacts

If you write to me or call me, I use your contact details and the content of your message only to reply and to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). They are kept for as long as needed for that purpose and any related professional relationship, and are not shared with third parties except where required by law.

7. Links to social networks

The icons in the footer are simple links to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. No data is sent to these platforms when you view this site; their own privacy policies apply only if you follow a link.

8. Your rights

Under Articles 15-22 GDPR you have the right to:

• access your personal data and obtain a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased;
• restrict the processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• object to processing based on legitimate interest;
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@lorenzogecchelin.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.

I may update this policy, for example if the site changes. Any updates will be published here with a new date.
